The Pasadena Tournament of Roses® has selected the Greendale High School Band as one of approximately 20 marching bands to participate in the 137th Rose Parade presented by Honda on January 1, 2026. The band will travel to Pasadena to march in America's New Year Celebration. The surprise announcement was made at a special gathering for the band and parents on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The Band represented the Village of Greendale, Milwaukee County, and the State of Wisconsin in the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade last November. It also performed in the Rose Parade on January 1, 2020, and the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Greendale High School’s Marching Band is the 19-time consecutive (20 times total) Wisconsin State Marching Band Association (WSMA) Class AA State Champion. The band won the 2024 competition last Saturday, October 19, at UW-Whitewater.
